Finishing:
Sides
(right and left panels):
Fold
over edges at needle #26. Unravel the stitch at needle #26
and latch 2 threads down the edge. Temporarily secure at
the end by tying a waste thread through the last loop.
Slowly
unravel the edge stitch. Use a crochet hook to seam the
sides as follows. From the top, reach down through the
first bar at the marked stitch (needle #19) and pull up a
loop. Move the crochet hook to the next bar, reach down and
pull up the same loop again. Repeat down the edge, using
one loop for each 2 bars. Temporarily secure at the end.
Finish
the corners by sewing the bottom hem to the side hem. On
the bottom corners, make sure you catch the 2 latched loops
securely.
Joining
panels:
Unravel
the edge stitches. Starting at the picot fold, latch 2
threads on each side.
When you
reach the marked row, carefully unravel the pocket edge
threads from the bottom of the pocket. Run a waste cord
through the unraveled pocket stitches to keep them from
‘disappearing’.
Now
continue latching the panels together, adding 2 threads from
the pocket when picking up the threads from the center.
At the
bottom, secure the end of the latching and weave in all
tails.
